The article provides analysis of the emergence of modern financial and economic crisis, compared with Kondratyev’s studies of cyclical development of world economy.
The authors identified the tactic recommendations for the business of packing and other industries, primarily, toward reducing costs for lower prices on goods and services and increase the margin to preserve profits. The article contains suggestions for strategic actions of different levels of efficiency for different segments of market maturity. The authors reviewed the options for improving the efficiency of companies during the crisis due to a direct or indirect costs.

The main reason for widespread use of paper packaging materials is that the paper packaging for each of the products is a complex of barrier properties, mechanical properties of strength, white and its surface printability. However at present there is no perfect packing materials to ensure complete requirements for the structural and physical properties.
This article describes the results of studies to identify parameters and develop technological conditions, with the possible manufacture of paper and packaging material from a pre-defined properties.

The article contains data on the development of mineral water and soft drinks in Ukraine. The author made the analysis of the challenges faced by the low-alcohol drinks, mineral water, juices, soft drinks, kvass, indicated the growth rate in comparison with markets in other countries, given the structure of manufacturers of these drinks in Ukraine.
The article analyzed the structure of packaging for drinks on the Ukrainian market, given their characteristics, and recognized the main advantages, weaknesses and tendencies of each type of packaging. The author made a number of different types of calculations of packaging (consumer and transport) for each type of beverage, packaging materials for their production in Ukraine in 2007.

The problems in the manufacture of grinding paper and cardboard

The article deals with the problem of grinding fibrous material in the manufacture of paper and cardboard. The author gave the basic principles of choice of equipment for grinding and headsets for the equipment. The author pointed out quality products and technical parameters of equipment that provide the most efficient maintenance of the grinding fibrous materials.

The article shows the design sets the type of SLT for mills, which showed positive results in many enterprises. Specifying its advantages in comparison with the headset, made by casting.
